Love Sacrificially

Love Sacrificially

Love comes in many forms. In today’s culture we have a tendency to throw the ‘love’ word around for just about anything. Stephanie and I love Mexican food. We love ice cream. We love date night…and many other things that we do together. Love can have different meanings depending on what your situation is or the people that you are around. As many of you know there is another kind of love that completely transcends any of the superficial ‘loves’ that we claim on a daily basis. This kind of love is Agape Love. God is very clear and He calls us to this different kind of love. We are supposed to love our spouse everyday with this sacrificial love. What if the greatest joy was in discovering that marriage was designed to make us holy, not happy?

Have you ever reached a crisis point in your marriage; hopelessly wondering if restoration was even possible or worth it? Perhaps you’ve asked yourself – what happened? I also believe that he uses the conflict areas in our marriage as a mirror to show us ‘growth opportunities’ we can
